There will be no nursing homes there for we will never grow old. We will never see a handicap parking place or a ramp for a wheelchair. We will never have to lock our homes or look behind us to see who is following us as we walk along. We will never hear the shrill sound of an ambulance siren. There will be no lawsuits and no one seeking to cheat anyone else out of something that is rightly theirs. There will be no courthouses on the square. We will never see a policeman in uniform or a police station. There will be no more depression or mental illness. But when we walk down heaven’s golden streets, we will never see a hospital. Heaven is a place of rest So much of life on this planet is filled with exhaustion, mourning, struggles and pressures of all kinds. Time nor space nor human vocabulary permits us to attempt an explanation of its radiance. The book of Revelation is filled with description after description of its glory. Heaven is a place of unparalleled beauty and radiance. Could it be that heaven is “like clear glass” because there will be nothing to hide there? It is no wonder that earlier the apostle Paul had said, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). John got a glimpse of heaven’s beauty one day and wrote down a few simple symbols that our poor finite minds could understand: “Its wall was of jasper and the city was pure gold, like clear glass” (Revelation 21:18). God loves beauty or He would never have made things on this sin-cursed earth so beautiful. It is a prepared place (John 14:2), and it is beautiful. “If they keep on doing that, the tide will turn for them, just as it has for us.Heaven is not simply a place. “And even though Wakefield have been unlucky injury-wise, they’re not giving in and are continuing to work hard for each other in games. Dave O’Sullivan and his team do a great job in patching-up our players and getting them back out there on the field. “At the same time, I also know our medical staff are up there with the best in the competition. “But this can happen in our sport, and it’s the way you deal with it that matters. “ You obviously feel for (Wakefield coach) James Webster when he’s losing so many forwards through injury,” added Anderson. While Anderson has a full complement of players at his disposal, Wakefield have been forced to dip into the loan market – bringing in George Griffin and Jordan Hand – to deal with a crippling forward injury list.īut that’s not something Anderson and his Giants are worrying about. “Everyone is feeling fresh and ready after a 10-day turnaround between this game and our last at home to Cas last Thursday, and we’re looking for that to be reflected in the way we play on Sunday.” If we do that, then I know we can win there once again. “The key for us, as always, is to go there and make sure we’re prepared to work hard and stay patient. “Belle Vue is always a good field and a very good track, which often helps to produce a decent game. “I know we’ve not lost there since I took over as head coach, so it’s a venue I look forward to visiting. “We’ve got a good recent record at Belle Vue, and long may that continue!” said Anderson. Huddersfield head to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Sunday (3.00) looking to make it six wins from their last seven visits.Īnderson’s side go into the contest as the favourites to win once again, with the fully-fit Giants hoping to make it three successive Super League XX triumphs against an injury-ravaged Wildcats who have lost their last three fixtures after winning in rounds one and two.Īnd even though the Huddersfield head coach knows his side will be handed another tough challenge, he’s confident his side can build on their last two triumphs at home to Widnes and Castleford. Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson is hoping Belle Vue can continue to be a happy hunting ground for his club.
